Würzburg native Wolfram Brandl received his first violin instruction from his father before studying with Uwe-Martin Haiberg at Berlin’s Hochschule der Künste. He acquired his first orchestral experience as Konzertmeister in the German National Youth Orchestra (Bundesjugendorchester), joining the Berlin Philharmonic in 2000. Brandl has been awarded numerous prizes for his activities as soloist with various orchestras. Since 2002 he has been the first violinist of the Scharoun Ensemble.
